80 Feet length Seemamalakaya Project

  • Sri Lanka's longest floating Seemamalakaya manufactured by Cey -Nor
  • This is the lengthiest floating Seemamalakaya in Sri Lanka which was designed and manufactured by Cey – Nor in 2021 on behalf of the customer, Vishwa Parami Trust. Vishwa Parami Foundation is a pioneer organization in providing various care services for the people of Sri Lanka. This was one of the highly successful projects in which the company showed the ability of diversification where Cey - Nor staff did the roofing, steel structure, and interior designing too.
  • Its design and construction work was given in September 2020. Vishwa Parami Foundation kept the trust in our institution, and despite the various restrictions and difficulties in the country, we were able to successfully complete this fiberglass floating Seemamalakaya. This is the longest 80-foot float ever offered to the Satara District Vasi Maha Sangharatna.

Eco-Friendly Boat With Solar

  • With the objective of modernization of the manufacturing process at Cey-Nor through the introduction of eco-friendly technologies to the boats, we have successfully completed the 13ft solar boat Pilate project in 2020. This boat exist with solar panel with a capacity of 1.5kw which perform an average speed of 10-15 km/h in 4-6 hrs (day time) and 2-3 hrs (night times).More

Multi-Day Fishing Vessel with Cooling Systems Project

  • The "Multi-Day Fishing Vessel with Cooling Systems" which was introduced as a pilot project to safely bring the fish harvested from the sea to home, took place on January 03, 2023, at the Southern Terminal of the Dikkowita fishing port.
  • This pilot project was started with the support of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization to reduce post-harvest damage and its inauguration ceremony was held at the southern end of the Dikowita Fishing Port under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at the invitation and direction of the Honorable Minister of Fisheries Douglas Devananda.
  • This pilot project, which was implemented with the aim of reducing post-harvest damage, was implemented as a joint project of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Nara Institute, Narda Institute, and Cey - Nor Foundation.
  • The Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries Mrs. Indu Ratnayake, Honorable Minister of State Mr. Sisira Jayakodi, Honorable Minister of State Mr. Prasanna Ranaweera, Honorable Member of Parliament Mrs. Rajika Wickramasinghe, Honorable Chairman of Wattala Regional Council and the Regional Political Authority, Director General of Fisheries Department Mr. Susantha Kahawatta were present on this occasion. , Presidents of institutions related to ministries, Assistant Representative of World Food and Agriculture Organization Mr. Nalin Munasinghe, President of National Engineering Research and Development Center (NERD) Professor S. U. Mr. Superintendent, the owner of the fishing vessel selected for modernization Mr. Wasantha Kumara and a group of others joined the occasion.

Dikkowita Landing Site Construction Project

  • The project was abandoned by many contractors in the past. Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Development finally decided to award the project to Cey-Nor Foundation Ltd. Cey- Nor successfully completed the entire work in November 2014 which was initially expected to be completed by April 2015.The value of the project is Rs. 70.2 mn.

Design and Construction of Beruwala Maradhana Anchorage

  • It was one of large-scale marine projects carried out under the purview of the Ministry of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development which entails two phases amounting to Rs. 118 mn and Rs.81 mn respectively. It was a highly complex task that had to face the challenge of monsoons, design and collection of amour and core- materials to expedite the process before monsoons.
  • Maradana anchorage consists of 1 hectare basin area and has a capacity of 400 one-day and multi-day boats. It consists of a 240m long breakwater and a 50m long groyne. The project also included 20,000m3 of dredging work.
  • Over 5000 fishers are expected to benefit from the project. The project was completed in 2016 by Cey-Nor which has proven the fact that the company is diversifying its business entity, earning recognition as a pioneer in offshore construction activities.

55ft Multiday Fishing Boat Project for Mauritius Nation

  • Cey – Nor foundation successfully completed the Multiday Fishing Boat Project for Mauritius Nation according to the customer’s requirement.

59.5ft Multiday Fishing Boat Project

  • This vessel bearing number 59.5 - CN - MD - 05 is the last vessel of the project related to the production of 59.5 feet long vessels given by the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources under the 50% subsidy system.
  • It can be pointed out that the primary objective of starting this project in association with the Fishery Department and Cey - Nor Foundation is to reduce post-harvest wastage and to introduce multi-day fishing vessels to the community engaged in the fishery industry using modern technical equipment with cold storage facilities.
  • The fish resources harvested by the fishermen must be distributed to the consumer with high quality. The vessel is equipped with all modern technology to reduce wastage during storage, landing, selection of fish harvest, sale, and transportation of the fish harvested by the vessels.
  • This vessel includes two fish holders of 18 Cum3 size and one fish holder is equipped with a refrigeration system with a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius. The other Fish Holder can be used to store ice.
  • A refrigeration system with a temperature of -20 degrees Celsius installed in the Bait Holder can also keep the quality of the fish harvested without damage.
  • The stability of this vessel with Long Line Winch has been received and the vessel is manufactured in accordance with the specifications approved by the Ministry of Fisheries.
  • This vessel includes a 400 HP Marine Diesel engine and a 25 KVA generator. The speed here is between 10-12 knots. Due to the VMS (Vessel Monitoring System) system installed on the vessel, the location of the vessel can be confirmed from the land. This vessel is equipped with modern technical equipment such as GPS, Fish Finder, Navigation Light, and Bilge Pump System. The AIS receiver system which helps to identify the vessel in water from other vessels has given added value to this vessel.
  • The value of this 59.5 feet vessel is Rs.35 million, and Cey - Nor Foundation provides a one-year warranty to its customer for fiberglass manufacturing defects.
  • Cey - Nor Foundation, which operates under the Fishery Ministry, is a pioneer in the production of fishing vessels of high quality and by introducing these vessels to the fishing community, it meets the needs of local fish consumption, creates a strong business community targeting the domestic and foreign markets, and improves the social and living standards of the fishing community.

Foot Peddle Fiberglass Hand Wash Basins

  • Cey – Nor foundation has Produced 700 units of the foot peddle fiberglass hand wash basin units and distributed all the primary & secondary schools in Jaffna District. This project is offered by the Provincial Department of education, Northern Province, Nallur as a UNICEF-funded project during the pandemic period in 2020.
